Description: A great American Musical Theatre classic, magically returns to the Main Stage! Come along to the idyllic kingdom of Camelot. Revel in the rich, deeply romantic legend of King Arthur and his beloved Queen, Guenevere. Celebrate the dashing Sir Lancelot, the gallant Knights of the Round Table, the mystical wizard Merlin and the Lady of the Lake from the mists of Avalon. Beyond romance, noble quests and magic spells lie twisted plots, inner demons and betrayal – all threatening to snuff out Arthur’s dreams to build the greatest kingdom ever known – one where true justice and compassion reign supreme. The ideals of Camelot are ones we long for in our own day, making Camelot a hopeful legend for all time. Written by Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe (My Fair Lady, Brigadoon), Camelot is a multi-Tony Award-winner, including one for Best Musical Score. Camelot is based on the King Arthur legends found in T.H. White’s novel The Once and Future King. Rediscover the romance and grandeur of Camelot - at Chanhassen Dinner Theatres.

Description: A comedic valentine to the theater For the Cavendishes, the "Royal Family" of Broadway, the show must go on. Set in 1920s Manhattan, this American classic (loosely based on the legendary Barrymore family) centers on three generations of actors, each at different stages in their careers. From an aging grande dame to a promising ingénue, together they confront a choice between secure, yet dull domesticity and an erratic, egocentric yet potentially fulfilling life on the stage. A brilliant, fast-paced comedy, The Royal Family is a masterfully written love letter to the Great White Way.

Description: Back by popular demand – now with added music! Nina Simone’s velvet voice was unafraid to sing lyrics that cut right to the truth. From the iconic “I Put a Spell on You” to “Feelin’ Good” to the protest song “Four Women” of the title, her music was a personal and political exploration branded in the kiln of the Civil Rights Movement. Simone’s lyrics weave a story of four women alienated from themselves and each other due to the color of their skin. Together, they sing their truth and rise triumphant — women proud “To Be Young, Gifted and Black.” “All I want is equality for my sister, my brother, my people and me…” — Nina Simone, “Mississippi Goddam”
