Description: "The Pulitzer Prize" winning playwright Donald Margulies scampers to the defense of good old-fashioned yarn spinning with SHIPWRECKED. The breathless story of a Victorian gentleman [and] seafaring wanderer springs to life like a theatrical pop-up book [in a] kid-friendly comedy. The audience is left to judge whether he is an inspirational figure touched by imaginative genius or a mere con man. We can also consider the possibility that the hero of this true story based on an untrue story is a little of each." (Charles Isherwood, NY Times)

A century later, George’s great-grandson is working as an artist in New York City. In search of inspiration, he soon discovers that the answer to his future is painted clearly in his past.

Description: produced by children's theatre company In a mosaic of America, Seedfolks is set in a vacant lot of Cleveland in a neighborhood that has turned over from immigrant whites to migrating blacks to a new batch of immigrants from Asia & Latin America, even as people remain from the earlier waves. The title comes from a young girl who plants seeds in the vacant lot in her father’s memory, an act that animates the disparate residents of the urban community. It is an acting tour-de-force for Ivey Award-winning Sonja Parks, who transforms seamlessly into a dozen characters who surround an 11-year old Asian girl, using accents, gestures and attitude to distinguish her personas in this compelling drama. Written by Paul Fleischman Directed by Peter Brosius

Description: You can't choose your neighbors. In this brilliant new comedy, cultures and gardens clash, turning well-intentioned neighbors into feuding enemies. Pablo, a rising attorney, and doctoral candidate Tania, his very pregnant wife, have just purchased a home next to Frank and Virginia, a well-established D.C. couple with a prize-worthy English garden. But an impending barbeque for Pablo's colleagues and a delicate dispute over a long-standing fence line soon spirals into an all-out border dispute, exposing both couples' notions of race, taste, class and privilege.
